Have you ever seen a Pinny-Poo dog? No? Then prepare yourself to meet one! Her name is Chiquinha. She is two years old and lives with her owner, Heloysa Danielle, in Rondônia, Brazil.

This adorable little dog comes from a cute lineage: her mom is a Poodle, and her dad is a Pinscher. Think of a charming mix… it’s Chiquinha.

Heloysa introduced this cutie in a video shared in May 2021 on her TikTok profile (@heloysadanielle) garnering over 22,000 views.

First, we see the father: a Pinscher. According to the American Kennel Club (AKC), Pinschers are a small breed of dog that originated in Germany. They have a distinct appearance, with a compact and muscular body, perked-up ears, and an expressive, alert look.

They are known for their energy and liveliness, as they are active and playful dogs. Despite their size, they are brave and fearless, displaying a strong sense of protection toward their owners. In addition, they are generally loyal and affectionate with their families, forming strong bonds.

However, they can also be independent and stubborn, requiring consistent and firm training.

Next in the video, Heloysa shows the mother, a Poodle. According to the AKC, this breed is known for its intelligence and elegance. They are medium to large in size, with dense, curly fur. They are considered hypoallergenic dogs, which means they are very good for people with dog allergies.

They are affectionate and loyal dogs, forming strong bonds with their owners. Additionally, they are known for their liveliness, energy, and playfulness, which makes them great companions for families.

With the parents properly introduced, here comes their daughter! Because of the mix, Chiquinha is a Pinny-Poo. According to Wag!, this breed is usually small or medium in size. They are energetic, intelligent, and affectionate. They can inherit characteristics like the Poodle’s curly fur and the Pinscher’s elegance and alertness.

Who does Chiquinha look like the most? I think she takes after both a little, doesn’t she?

In an interview with Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian website about pet news), Heloysa said that Chiquinha’s parents belonged to her and that they mated accidentally.

The birth was complicated because she couldn’t deliver on her own and needed to be rushed to the vet. So, three puppies were born via C-section: one male and two females.

“Unfortunately, the male was stillborn, and the two females survived, but one of them passed away after a few days, so only mine was left!” she said.

The mother had complications after giving birth and unfortunately passed away. The puppy, helpless, needed to be cared for by Heloysa and bottle-fed. One of the many nicknames for a baby bottle in Brazil is "chuquinha," and that’s how the name Chiquinha came to be.

Now, the question remains: who did Chiquinha inherit her personality from? Heloysa answers:

“Chiquinha is very feisty (laughs). She hates everyone who gets close to me and my husband. She really attacks, and she doesn’t even have the size for it!”

With a strong personality, Chiquinha is very much loved by her family. “She is very special to us; she’s a part of our family,” concluded Heloysa.

When she was a puppy, Chiquinha looked like a keychain because she was so tiny!
