Dog Daycare in São Paulo Celebrates Pet Moms With Special Mother’s Day Event

On Mother’s Day—a very special occasion—there was no shortage of tributes! And of course, there were also tributes for pet moms—after all, they’re moms too, right?!
Amanimal PetCare, a dog daycare located in São Paulo, Brazil, made sure to honor pet moms.Tati Bento, Ed’s mom—Ed being a three-year-old Jack Russell Terrier—was one of the honorees.
In an interview with Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian pet news website), Tati said Ed was one of the daycare’s first students, and that this was Amanimal’s first-ever Mother’s Day event. The idea came from Isadora, the daycare coordinator.
“This gave us, pet moms, the opportunity to meet the staff and explore the daycare’s structure—including the relaxation and music therapy areas, the feeding station, and Amanimal’s history,” she said. “We also got to meet the moms of our ‘PUPils’ from different classes.”
In addition to all these activities, the moms also took part in a group session to get to know each other better. How cool is that?
“Each mom introduced herself and her pet—their name, personality, and story. It was a unique moment to share experiences and spend the morning with our four-legged children.”
And there was more!
“There was a photo wall featuring each pet mom, plus food, drinks, and lots of games for the pets.”
The event was so special that Tati said many of the moms were deeply moved.
“Some moms got very emotional while sharing stories about their pets. One of them was struggling with deep depression, taking medication—and today, her dog is her greatest source of joy.”
Ed has been going to daycare for two years, and Tati says enrolling pets in school is a great idea—it helps them socialize, burn off energy, and learn new tricks.
Tati truly cares about her little one’s well-being and isn’t shy about admitting she’s a doting pet mom.
“I’m a self-confessed and mindful pet parent. I know he won’t be around forever, so I make every moment we share unforgettable,” she says. She adds, “I’ve learned so much from him—about love, patience, loyalty, understanding, persistence, and friendship. Not to mention his ability to calm me and make me reflect.”
