Video: Mixed-Breed Dog Gets Stopped by Photographer for a Celebrity-Style Photoshoot
Brocolinha rocked the photoshoot — she looked like a real celebrity striking poses!

Ricardo Franzen is a talented photographer known for capturing beautiful portraits of strangers on the streets of Paraná, Brazil. Gaby and her mixed-breed dog, Brocolinha, were among those chosen to take part in a spontaneous photo shoot. And let me tell you — the shoot turned out absolutely beautiful!
In an interview with Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian website about pet news), Ricardo said he decided to photograph Brocolinha after seeing her running around the park, radiating joy — it immediately caught his attention. When he spoke to Gaby about the idea of doing a photoshoot, she was super friendly and immediately said yes.
The idea for the photos came about after Ricardo received a special invitation from Special Dog — a pet food brand — to honor mixed-breed dogs through portraits and a gift kit, which included a bandana, a small water bowl, snacks, and other treats as part of a celebration of mutts.
Ricardo’s challenge was to travel around the city, find four or five mixed-breed dogs with their owners, give them the kits, and take some great photos. He found it challenging, since it’s much easier to find purebred dogs than mixed-breeds in the city. And it’s true — he had to walk quite a bit to find all the dogs and take the photos.
In the end, the task was a success, rewarded with unique and emotional images!
Brocolinha and Gaby posed for beautiful photos, but Ricardo said it wasn’t easy. The dog, who was adopted, doesn’t like men—probably due to a past trauma—and became fearful around him.
“Brocolinha was afraid of us, unfortunately. But we still managed to get a great photo,” he said. “Dogs are always amazing.”
Ricardo shared a behind-the-scenes video on his TikTok profile ( @franzenphotography), with Brocolinha’s clip posted on August 2. It has since received over 16,000 views and dozens of comments praising her beauty.
