Dog Closes Eyes and Pretends to Pass Out in the Tub to Avoid Getting a Bath

A true Hollywood actor! This clever little pup realized his human was up to no good when she placed him in the tub—and he pretended to faint. All of this to avoid a cold bath. The owner told Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian website about pet news) all the details — including whether she managed to give a bath to little Chuck Billy (named after the Monica’s Gang character known for never showering).

Nathalia Kelly Amaral da Silva, a resident of Rio de Janeiro, shared the hilarious moment online. Her adorable mixed-breed pup, who hadn’t even been named yet, showed just how clever he was while trying to escape the dreaded dog bath.

After noticing the whole act, Nathalia shared the hilarious moment with her TikTok followers. What she didn’t expect was how much attention the dog would get for pretending to pass out in the tub.

According to her, the dog — who was three months old at the time — was about to get his first bath and was already trying to escape the water.

“I gave his sister a bath, and he already had a curious, very intrigued look. When it was his turn, he put on the whole scene,” she told Amo Meu Pet.

Nathalia said she believed — or wanted to believe, hahaha — that little Chuck Billy was actually sleeping, so she waited a while. But the little guy stayed just like that: completely “passed out.”

"I felt bad for him, but I gave him the bath anyway. He put on his little act for a while, but I didn’t fall for it," she revealed.

In the post, Nathalia vented about the little mutt’s behavior. “I’m sure it was all part of his plan to escape the bath — and he still had the nerve to complain,” she said while showing the dog.

Hundreds of users asked Nathalia for a part 2 of the video — had she actually given him the bath? What happened next? A few days later, she responded and posted more of the adorable scene.

In the next scene, she’s seen leaning against the tub, waiting for the dog to cooperate — but he doesn’t seem to care at all.

He stays perfectly still, as if asleep — or unconscious. “What a little rascal! How am I supposed to bathe this dog like this?” she joked.

Fun Fact

This little guy was born with a spot on his belly that looks just like Mickey Mouse. However, neither that nor the bath episode helped the poor pup get a name.
