Man Goes Out for an Errand and Comes Back with 3 Puppies: “What Will My Wife Think?”

Entrepreneur William Chuartz, who lives in Paraná, Brazil, went out to pick up Sunday lunch — and came back not only with food, but with a surprise for his wife, Fabíola Miranda. What was it? Three puppies he found on the street.

That day, William took a different route than usual and, to his surprise, saw one of the puppies standing in the middle of the road.

Feeling moved, he turned around to check — and found two more puppies inside a cardboard box. It was pretty clear that they had been abandoned.

“So I started recording them because I thought my wife’s reaction would be funny — no matter what it was,” William told Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian website about pet news).

When he got home, he gave his wife a fright, saying he had something to tell her.

She even thought her husband had crashed her car. But when she approached the car to check the supposed damage, she saw one of the puppies walking across the passenger seat. She couldn’t resist and squealed at the puppy’s cuteness.

“I didn’t think twice about taking them with me. The important thing was getting them out of danger. We’d figure out the rest later,” he explained.

William realized Fabíola had only seen one of the dogs, so he told her there were more.

She looked into the back seat and saw the other two pups. When she saw them, Fabíola asked her husband if he’d gone “insane.”

“My wife loves animals, so I knew she’d be on board. But it was a big surprise for her — I mean, there were three of them!”

Without hesitation, Fabíola let William bring the dogs into their home.

He quickly gave them kibble, and it was clear they hadn’t eaten in a while — they devoured every bit.

The couple already had one dog, but William said, “If one can eat, three more can too.”

The pups were officially adopted! What a joy!

“As soon as I got home, we kept them in a separate area from our other dog because they were scratching a lot and had lost fur due to mange. We gave them food and water because they were clearly starving and thirsty. And before I knew it, my wife had already named them,” William said.

Angry about finding them in such a condition, William said he couldn’t understand how anyone could abandon such adorable little creatures. There’s really no explanation!

“The video of the rescue played an important role in raising awareness about pet abandonment and the adoption of stray animals. We did something we consider natural — something that should be normal for everyone. Unfortunately, most people have grown used to this kind of cruelty — so when they see a humane gesture, they’re surprised. It’s important to remember that mistreatment and abandonment are crimes in Brazil — and those responsible should be held accountable,” he concluded.

William has been documenting the story of these cuties and sharing it on his TikTok profile (@willchuartz). The video of their rescue was shared on July 2 and has already garnered over 2.2 million views, 358,000 likes, and thousands of comments.

“You have a wonderful wife — she supported you in this endeavor,” wrote one user.

“You and your wife are both angels!” declared another.
