Creating an environment that offers peace and safety is the first step to success. That’s why it’s very important to keep your home clean—especially their litter box. Cats love cleanliness and appreciate when their environment reflects that.

2. Toys

In your cat’s space, provide a variety of objects that encourage physical activity.Invest in toys like scratching posts, climbing platforms, hiding spots, and toys that stimulate chasing and reflexes.

3. Smell

Leaving your scent in the room can help your cat feel more comfortable approaching. They need to associate your scent with a sense of safety. Try leaving clothes, blankets, or other items that carry your scent.

4. Food

Use treats and food to encourage your cat to come closer to you. This helps create a positive emotional association. Withholding food or water can increase their stress and drive them further away from you.

5. Socialization

Spend quality time socializing with your cat every day. This way, they will learn they can count on your company at a consistent time each day. The more affection you show, the easier it will be to bond. Remember to pet them in their favorite spots—but only when they allow it.
