“Feed Me by Hand, Please”: The Hilarious Routine of a Spoiled Wiener Dog

Sheldon is an adorable Dachshund who lives in Espírito Santo do Pinhal, in São Paulo (Brazil), and is very demanding when it comes to his meals.
This little Dachshund, with a—let’s say—strong temperament, won over the internet by insisting that his owner, Nina, feed him by hand.
Nina shared the hilarious moment, capturing Sheldon lying on the couch next to his bowl of kibble.
The dog was whining for his human mom to feed him directly by hand.
“Your food is right here and you’re crying because you want me to feed you by hand? I’m not going to do that...” Nina says in the video, firmly.
While Nina tries to resist the spoiled guy’s request, Sheldon looks at her with those begging eyes until he gets what he wants.
But with this little face, who can resist?

In an interview with Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian pet news website), Nina shared more about Sheldon’s unique personality:
“He’s quite picky about eating, and sometimes it takes some effort—so one way to feed him is by hand. However, sometimes he really asks to eat from my hand and keeps crying next to the bowl.”
Despite being a little demanding, the one-year-old Dachshund is deeply loved by his human parents—and his 40,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok.
Nina describes her canine companion as funny, saying he often does things that are hard to explain.
One example of this was the day the dog was captured watching the security cameras through the TV.
Sheldon and the Security Cameras
When little Sheldon was just five months old, a video of him “watching” the house’s security cameras went viral online.
We shared this story back in February of last year here at Amo Meu Pet.
According to his pawrents, Sheldon absolutely loves watching television programs.
Always aware of everything around him, this wiener dog not only watches cartoons—like Monica’s Gang—but also loves keeping an eye on the house through security cameras.
Nina explained that the name of the “little spy” was inspired by Sheldon Cooper, a character from the TV series “The Big Bang Theory”.
The owner shared a hilarious moment on TikTok, revealing Sheldon’s excitement as he watched the security cameras.
