Rescued Pup Finds Her Joy on Two Wheels with Her Favorite Human

An adventurous dog? We’ve got one! Her name is Mery. She’s seven years old and lives with her owner, Ana Paula, in the countryside of Rincão, São Paulo (Brazil).

This cutie has a real passion for bikes. She loves to ride with her owner!

When Mery sees Ana wearing bib shorts, she is eager to accompany her on her bike rides.

Without a doubt, Ana has a great cycling partner!

If Mery once lived on the streets, covered in mud and ticks, she certainly doesn’t remember it anymore. The only dirt this little mutt accepts comes from a good day of cycling.

“Mery came home seven years ago. We were sitting on the porch when she showed up and jumped into my lap—covered in mud and ticks,” Ana told Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian pet news website).

Mery started going on bike rides with her owner about a year and a half ago.

Ana was on her cellphone when she saw an ad for a backpack specifically for pets to use on bike rides. The ad made Ana imagine going on bike rides with her pet.

No hesitation—she bought it!

And it seems that this was Ana’s best purchase, as she gained an unparalleled companion for her outings.

The best part is that they always match the colors of their clothes! It’s so cute to see!

“When I’m about to leave, she gets all excited. She already knows she’s going when I grab her bandana and glasses.”

Docile and friendly, Mery loves cycling with her owner. Ana, who is in love with her pet, says:

“Mery is a blessing in my life. She brought together two things I love: cycling and her. In short, it’s double the love.”

Another Little Cyclist Dog

Nick, an adorable Shih Tzu from Varginha, Minas Gerais, became an Instagram sensation due to his style and passion for cycling with his owner Letícia Fagundes Oliveira.

Nick brought joy into Letícia’s life after she lost her previous dog and struggled with depression.

The furry friend has become her best friend and together they enjoy bike rides, where Nick loves to feel the wind on his face.

“He loves it! He loves to feel the breeze, and every time we go downhill, he gets excited. He even knows that when I pick up my backpack, it means he’s going to ride on my back,” Letícia told Amo Meu Pet.

Letícia recommends short rides within the city so as not to tire out the pets.
