Cat Who Recently Became a Mom Makes Sure to Introduce Her Kittens One by One to Owner

Some time ago, a three-year-old cat named Frida gave birth to four kittens. Frida had a strong bond with her owner, Iago Bastos—and the day after the kittens were born, guess what she did? She introduced them one by one to her owner. There’s a lot of love involved!Iago is a psychologist and lives in São Paulo, Brazil. In an interview with Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian website about pet news), Iago explained that Frida came into his life through a patient he had treated. In gratitude, the patient gave him the cat as a gift. How beautiful, right?

“Frida was a gift I received from a patient I helped get out of an abusive relationship and drug addiction,” he explained.

Since then, the cat has become Iago’s faithful companion. She sleeps next to him and watches TV with him whenever he’s feeling down.

As for this ‘young lady’s’ name, it was inspired by a symbol of feminism: Frida Kahlo. Frida was a famous Mexican painter, known for her autobiographical works and her iconic artistic style.

At the time he got the kitten, Iago was living in an apartment, so he postponed spaying her. However, when he moved to a house, he never imagined he would become a “grandpa”. According to Iago, “she met a big, furry black cat and couldn’t resist his charm.” And it was a match!

Right after giving birth, Frida made a point of introducing the kittens to her owner one by one, and Iago, flattered by the gesture, filmed it and shared the video on his TikTok profile ( @iagobastos6) on June 27. The video has accumulated over 165,000 views.

Regarding the video’s impact, Iago said, “I was a little frustrated because I always created content about mental health and no one cared, but Frida’s cute video went viral, lol.” However, the psychologist added, “But in the end, I was happy, because cats also take care of our mental health.”

In addition to the views, over 16,000 internet users reacted and hundreds commented.
