You know the perfect photo? Vet student Daniela Silveira got it!

She was trying to take a photo with a capybara, but the wild animal refused to cooperate—haha!

However, the presence of the illustrious caramel stray made all the difference.

The iconic caramel dog jumped into the shot and posed with a big smile—making the photo a total hit!

These caramels are omnipresent, aren’t they?

The Photo

In October, Daniela—a student at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) in Goiânia, Brazil—was attending class in the agronomy building near the fish farming area.

The place has a dam where some capybaras live. Unable to resist their cuteness, Daniela tried to take some photos—but the capybaras weren’t too eager to pose.

It was then that the caramel appeared, the hero of the photo!

Daniela Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian pet news website) that she was taking a photo with a capybara when the stray suddenly jumped into the scene.

“He did the pose completely on his own, it was very spontaneous,” she said.

As charismatic as ever, Zé—the name given to the dog by students—couldn’t be left out of the photo.

After all, he’s the darling of the university! Everyone knows and loves him.

“Zé is very well looked after by UFG students and staff.”

Repercussion

Daniela shared the photos with the caramel on social media. Of course, the post went viral!

“I thought the response was really cool and also really funny. It gave me a few minutes of fame,” Daniela said.

On X (formerly Twitter), with the caption “I already love my UFG,” the post got over 7.8 million views, 117,000 reactions, and thousands of comments.

“What a sensational photo,” declared one internet user.
“Capybara and a caramel stray. A photo worth millions,” commented another.
“Oh my God, they were paid actors,” joked a third.

This record really turned out amazing!

Do you think only this caramel smiles?

Luna is an Australian Cattle Dog, who also went viral because of her smile.

The reason the dog smiled was none other than the wedding of her owner, Callie Jones.

“So my wedding photographer is editing my photos and sent me this,” Callie wrote in the caption of the posted photo.

That smile is also amazing, right?
