“Give Me the Bread and No One Gets Hurt”: Pit Bull Steals Knife, Family Panics

Bolt is a Pitbull who loves attention from his owners—whether it’s through licks, barks, or tail wags.

But one time, his plan for attention got a bit bolder—he held a knife in his mouth!

Imagine the shock!

And what could convince him to drop the sharp object—which to him was just a toy?

It took calm nerves, caution… and a piece of bread!

Nothing like a fresh piece of bread to make the pup let go of the knife.

Ohh, this little hungry guy!

The day of the mischief

Samitri Ferreira, the dog’s owner, was sitting at the table when Bolt approached him with the cutlery in his mouth. Once Samitri realized the dog was carrying a knife, the young man was speechless.

When Bolt started running around the kitchen, panic set in—he could hurt himself, the other dog, Samitri, or even his wife.

But before fear took over, Samitri kept calm and asked his wife for a piece of bread. So, he showed it to his pet, who, convinced, soon put down the knife to eat that “delicious treat”.

Phew! No one got hurt! And the question is: where did Bolt get that knife? Not even Samitri could answer.

After the shock, and watching the surveillance camera footage, Samitri realized that it would be a funny video and shared the recording on his Instagram profile on December 14.

The post has garnered over 841,000 views, 43,000 reactions and thousands of funny comments.

“‘Hey Chad, a piece of bread or a mysterious stabbing?’” joked an internet user.

“‘Come on Chad, give me the bread, or I’ll end your life!’”, said another.

“Does your dog bite?” “No, he threatens you with a knife,” commented a third.

Bolt’s Adoption

Seeing this little troublemaker, you’d never guess how much he’s been through—he’s a rescue.

At the beginning of the year, Samitri was leaving a client’s house when he came across a heartbreaking scene—a severely mistreated dog on the street.

Samitri was touched to see the dog so weak and took action!

Samitri rescued the dog, took him to the vet and started his treatment.

With love and care, Bolt recovered, becoming this beautiful, mischievous dog we saw on the video above.

“He’s always been our troublemaker—he spends his day looking for ways to get our attention. And one of those things… was a knife,” Samitri told Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian pet news website).
