Golden Retriever Loses Her Mind When the Daycare Taxi Pulls Up

If there’s one place Golden Retriever Arya loves, it’s daycare. She gets so excited whenever she sees the Holiday Pet Hotel & Creche car arriving at her house in Amazonas, Brazil, that she literally jumps for joy!

It’s no exaggeration! The scene of this cutie getting excited for another fun day at school was shared on the daycare’s TikTok profile, @holidaypethotel, on March 6th. According to the video’s caption: “Arya is one of the ‘PUPils’ who loves daycare the most.”

In the video, the dog is seen sitting on the balcony, anxiously awaiting the dog taxi to arrive. When she finally sees it, she becomes completely overwhelmed with joy, not knowing what to do with all that happy energy, wagging her tail frenetically. She even forgets where the exit door is.

After rushing her owner down the stairs to open the door, she doesn’t need to be called twice to get in the car. Like a lightning bolt, she runs and jumps into the car all by herself, sitting in the right spot. I’ve never seen a dog love daycare as much as she does!

In an interview with Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian website about pet news), Emily, the daycare manager, said that Arya has been going there since April last year, a month after the Holiday Pet Hotel & Creche opened. This cutie was one of the daycare’s first students.

Just like she shows her excitement when the daycare car arrives, she’s just as energetic at the facility. According to Emily, this Goldie is a little hurricane—no one can stay still around her. Classmates and staff members have to learn how to deal with her energy.

“She’s so full of energy, she doesn’t stop for one minute. She plays with everyone and is friends with all of the other doggos,” she revealed.

Arya goes to daycare three times a week, where she takes part in many activities like scent games, training sessions, swimming lessons, and physical and mental exercises that require a lot of energy. Well, that explains why she loves daycare so much, right?

In addition to all those activities, Arya and her “pawmates” are also showered with affection by the daycare staff. They all love their little “PUPpils” and do their best to keep them happy.

“For us, it’s like working with children, after all, they’re all just babies. They bring joy to the environment, and even though it’s work, they make everything feel lighter and happier,” she said.

Arya’s video has garnered over 7.7 million views.” Emily commented on the response:

“We weren’t expecting it! It was surreal. The notifications on Instagram and TikTok just wouldn’t stop coming. The owner sent us the video and we just posted it — we never expected this kind of reaction.”

In addition to the millions of views, there were over 886,000 reactions and thousands of comments,

“I love these daycare videos with pets. Just imagine the love you get from this job,” one internet user commented.
“She stopped in the middle of the stairs just to check if the driver was still there. I loved it!” wrote another.
“So adorable! You can tell by her joy that she’s very well cared for with you all,” said a third.

The Benefits of Daycare for Dogs

According to the website Hepper, dog daycare is a place where pets can spend the day receiving proper care and supervision while their owners are busy with work or other activities. Some of the benefits of taking your dog to daycare are:

Socialization: Daycare gives dogs the opportunity to interact with others in a safe and supervised environment. This helps them improve their social skills and get used to different canine personalities and temperaments.

Exercise and mental stimulation: Daycares typically offer recreational spaces and activities that allow dogs to play, run, and exercise. That helps to keep the dogs physically healthy and mentally stimulated.

Professional supervision: At dog daycares, dogs are monitored by trained professionals. They ensure their safety and step in during inappropriate or aggressive behavior, making sure the environment is safe for all the dogs.
