Dog Groomer Shows How “Stressful” It Is Working with Dogs
In an interview, Alexandre dos Santos gave more details about his video with a Poodle that went viral.

A young man decided to share on TikTok how “stressful” working with dogs is. In the viral video, Alexandre dos Santos and a Poodle are shown clapping in the tub. In an interview with Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian website about pet news), he told us about his work and the artistic dog.
Working as a dog groomer is not always easy; after all, it requires knowledge, patience, and a lot of love for pets. Alexandre, who lives in Mato Grosso do Sul, showed a funny moment from his routine. In a sarcastic message superimposed on the video, Alexandre wrote: “My job is killing me,” he joked.
In the scenes, he appears laughing, singing, and clapping next to the sink. At this point, you might think he’s trying to cheer up the little dog. But not really! Alexandre, in fact, accompanies Luke—the artistic Poodle—who claps his paws while standing up, all happy!
According to Alexandre, Luke is a regular customer at the salon and is always eager to clap. The little dog simply can’t resist an invitation to clap, no matter who it’s for, and there he goes, repeating the movement happily.
“He does this to get targeted attention! It’s very funny,” he said.
Having worked in the industry for about three years, Alexandre says that working in pet grooming is rewarding.
“When you understand the process and manage to deliver the expected result, it makes you very proud. Of course, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. We always have some pets or situations that bring challenges to our daily lives, but seeking new techniques helps,” he emphasizes.
For him, even with his busy routine, moments like the one with Luke make all the difference.
“Working with pets is challenging, but on the other hand, it is always very therapeutic, having the contact and love that they give us,” he concluded.

On Alexandre’s TikTok profile, he shares several fun videos with his clients, as well as before-and-after grooming photos, techniques, and lots of cuteness! A few days ago, he showed a themed space created by the salon to celebrate the month of June: the kissing booth!
In one of the videos shot in the space, Luke strikes again—this time all brushed and wearing a tie. He claps his paws and announces a fun promotion:“Come check out our dog promotion! Pretty girls don’t pay—but they don’t get anything either,” said the ad for the mischievous Poodle.
