Meet Dudu, the Maltipoo Who Looks Like a Fluffy Little Cloud

Do you know a dog so cute it looks like a cloud? Dudu is one of them. His parents are a Maltese and a Poodle.

Dudu is a mixed breed known as a Maltipoo, and in a video, his owner, Carlos Henrique Madruga Barbosa, listed five reasons to have one running around the house. Let’s take a look?

First: They are hypoallergenic and don’t shed. Second: they are family dogs, great for those who have kids. Third: they are very affectionate. Fourth: because they are small, they can easily adapt to apartments. Fifth: they are very loving.

The Dog’s Arrival in the Family

Dudu lives with his family in Paraíba, Brazil. He came as a Christmas gift in 2019. Carlos and his fiancée, Amanda Machado, saw an online ad for a Poodle and decided to buy him.

“We got Dudu thinking he was a Poodle because in the ad photos his mom was a Poodle. But as he grew, he looked different from a normal Poodle, with softer and straighter fur, and smaller in size,” Carlos told Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian website about pet news).

As he grew, many people who saw him asked if he was a Maltese. It was then that the couple started researching and found out about the Maltipoo breed.

Dudu fit all the characteristics, both physical and behavioral, of the hybrid breed.

“So we went after the lady from whom we got Dudu, and she showed us that his father was a Maltese. Then we concluded that it really was that breed,” he recalled.

According to his owner, this cutie has an adorable personality and loves everyone, especially children. “Dudu is like the neighborhood councilman, everyone already knows him and he wants to greet everyone,” Carlos said.

The dog has become part of the family and is of great importance to Carlos and Amanda. Everything they do is centered around Dudu’s well-being and comfort.

“Today we live for him, trips, outings, always planning for him to be with us. He really is a son to us, and we say he was a Christmas gift from God,” he concluded.
