It all started when Letícia was at her parents’ house on a sweltering hot day.

She heard a noise coming from the roof and couldn’t contain her curiosity. What she found up there would change her life—and the lives of the two kittens—forever.

In the viral video, she explained how she rescued the kittens. Letícia believes the kittens’ mother chose the roof as a place to give birth, leaving them stuck inside the gutter pipe.

The problem was that the kittens were truly stuck, so she and her dad stepped in to rescue them. “We were so excited to see the first one that we didn’t notice the second, right behind him,” she said in the video.

Even after waiting for two hours, the mother cat didn’t return to retrieve them. In the scorching heat and with her heart full of compassion, Letícia decided to take the kittens home, where they would be cared for with love and affection.

“I have my own house to take them to, and I don’t need anyone’s permission,” Letícia said warmly.

In an interview with Amo Meu Pet, she described the kittens’ health condition.

“They’re doing great—very clever! They walk around the house, and being their mom has been an amazing experience. It’s rewarding to see them recognize our voices and purr in our laps.”

The kittens, named Oliver and Olívia after a poll on Instagram, are growing fast.

Letícia and her fiancé fell in love with them and decided to give them a forever home.

Although her father wanted to keep the cats, Letícia believed they would have a better life at her house, where her flexible routine allows for more attentive care.

“The kittens came into our lives during a difficult time. They brought light and so much joy. Adopting is an act of love. We thought we were saving them, but in reality, they were the ones saving us. It was the best choice we could have made,” she concluded.
