She Bought a Baby Monitor for Peace of Mind—What Her Dogs Did Instead Left Her Shocked

Thaís Alves Ribeiro, from Goiás, Brazil, discovered that her home turns into a real jungle whenever her two adorable dogs are left alone. And it’s all thanks to a baby monitor! She shared all the hilarious canine antics with Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian website about pet news).

The story began in December 2022, when Thaís and her fiancé, Felipe, decided to adopt Cazé and Talento. As puppies, the little dogs seemed harmless.

But Thaís never imagined her beloved pups would turn into “desktop terrorists” the moment she turned her back.

In the interview, Thaís said she installed the baby monitor to check who was making noise and who was tearing up the pee pad.

However, what she saw left her completely shocked. The mischievous Cazé and Talento, just one year and a month old, were climbing on the table and causing chaos while she was away.

“We never suspected they climbed onto the table. Whenever we left, we’d always put the couch cushions on it—afraid they’d bite and rip out the stuffing. Imagine our surprise the first time we turned on the camera and saw those little rascals on the table,” she said.

Thaís admitted she expected a little mess—after all, they were puppies—but never imagined the destruction would be that intense.

The funny thing is, the dogs never left any obvious signs of their mischief, so Thaís and Felipe thought they were little angels.

“I remember the first time I scolded them through the camera. I shouted, ‘Get off the table NOW!’ followed by, ‘Bad Cazé! Bad Talento! Soooo bad!’” “But then we realized the camera’s built-in speaker wasn’t loud enough, so they couldn’t really hear us,” she said.

However, after a few attempts, she found a more effective way to get their attention.

“I started watching them on the camera, and whenever I need to get their attention, I use Alexa. Cazé is very obedient when I catch and scold them. As for Talento, he doesn’t really care—he just keeps messing with whatever he was messing with,” she explained.

The Worst Incident of Mischief

The worst incident so far? When Cazé and Talento managed to get Thaís’s fiancé’s glasses and chewed up both the frames and lenses!

“We had to take both of them for a full abdominal ultrasound—because they ate parts of the lenses—and left them under observation. Thankfully, nothing serious happened,” she recalled.

Nowadays, the dogs are calmer, although they still require constant care, and their owners avoid leaving anything unusual within their sight. “The only things they still destroy are their own toys and, occasionally, one of their beds. Around here, the beds are always exploding,” she said.

Brothers Above All Else

No matter how many beds are spread around the house, Cazé and Talento always prefer to squeeze into the same one. It's absolutely adorable!

“The girl who rescued them and fostered them, Anne, told us at the time that since they were brothers, even with a bed for each, they always slept close together in the same bed. We thought she was just trying to convince us to adopt them together—but the truth is, Anne didn’t lie or exaggerate,” she concluded.

In a video shared on TikTok, Thaís revealed shocking footage of her dogs’ antics on the table. With good humor, she captioned the video: “The saga of the baby monitor… As the saying goes, ignorance is bliss!”
