Siberian Husky Meets Newborn Brother—and Her Reaction Will Melt Your Heart

A sweet Siberian Husky named Aika showed how beautiful a dog’s interaction with a child can be! Upon meeting her human brother, Davi, for the first time, her reaction couldn’t have been sweeter.
The owner and mother of this duo, Eduarda Palu Zampieru, who lives in Paraná, Brazil, recorded the moment and shared it on her TikTok profile on September 28, garnering over 1.4 million views. It’s impossible not to smile while watching the video!
Aika’s Personality
In an interview with Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian website about pet news), Eduarda said that Aika is very sweet. The family even jokes that there’s a child hiding inside the dog’s body because she’s so loving!
During the pregnancy, the Husky proved to be very protective, not allowing any strangers to approach Eduarda during walks. She would bark or growl to keep the “threat” away.
“I don’t think she knew he was in my belly, but she could sense that I was vulnerable and needed her protection,” she said.
The Encounter
During the pregnancy, Eduarda and her husband were concerned about how Aika’s first encounter with Davi would go and how they would introduce them. The couple imagined many scenarios, but none of them came close to Aika’s real reaction when she met her little brother.
In the video, you can see her curious eyes shining as she looks at little Davi — and not just that! She sniffed him, admired him, and sat next to the baby carrier, as if to say: “From now on, I’ll be your protector.” So beautiful!
“We knew she would never be suspicious of him — we had this feeling in our hearts, because she had always been very social with people and kids, and that’s exactly what happened,” she declared. “As a pet and human mom, I felt so happy seeing all that love!”
After the Meeting
Even 49 days after Davi’s birth, do you think Aika changed her behavior toward the little guy? Not at all!
She’s still just as loving as the day they first met. Eduarda said that Aika never leaves Davi’s side, and when the family goes on walks, she reacts the same way she did during the pregnancy: she doesn’t let any strangers get close — but now, she’s protecting Davi.
“At home, as usual, every morning she jumps onto the bed to say good morning — and now, the good morning is for Davi too!”
Eduarda considers Aika more than just a dog — and she has big plans for her and her son.
“She is our soul. Our love is pure, and without her, we are nothing,” she affirmed. “I hope Aika and Davi become best friends, and that Davi grows up loving and respecting animals just like I do. Just like my mom taught me, I want to teach him — and I hope they become great companions to each other!”

In addition to going viral, the video has reached over 184,000 views and received thousands of loving and heartfelt comments.
