Cat Born Without Eyes Shows How She Loves Life “Without Any Limitations”

A true inspiration! This is Nina, a cat born without eyes who doesn’t let that stop her from enjoying every moment of life.

Natalia Suzin, her owner, shared the inspiring story of the 12-year-old cat in an interview with Amo Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian website about pet news).

Nina is a true ambassador of feline determination. Known for her sweet and calm personality, she never lets her disability bring her down.

Her owner describes her as “extremely loving, docile, and calm,” and notes that she loves sunbathing, enjoying every moment in the sunlight.

But how did Nina come into Natalia’s life?A friend found her at three months old, abandoned in the streets. Since he knew Natalia worked with NGOs at the time, he asked for her help.

“He brought her to me because he didn’t know what was wrong with her,” she recalls.

Natalia quickly realized that Nina was missing both eyes and took her to a veterinary clinic to learn more.

At the clinic, the vet suggested putting Nina down, considering it the best option due to her blindness.

However, Natalia refused to accept that suggestion. She was convinced that Nina deserved the chance to live a full life.

Natalia and her family adopted Nina and, throughout the years, watched her grow and adapt in surprising ways.

Nina proved to be an incredibly resilient and intelligent cat, learning to navigate the house, find her litter box, and, of course, locate her favorite food.

Nina has been living with Natalia’s parents for the past six years, ever since Natalia got married and moved to a new place where Nina couldn’t adapt.

Nina is proof that there is always a solution—and that a happy ending is out there somewhere. You just have to believe!

Another Special Pet

Natalia had already been featured here at Amo Meu Pet because of another beloved pet: Caramelo.

The three-legged dog is a local celebrity—not because he walks normally despite missing a leg, but for another reason.

Just like Nina, Natalia also rescued this adorable little dog, who had serious problems with his front leg, which had to be amputated due to the injury.

But what makes Caramelo truly unique is his tendency to run away from home and make frequent visits to the local bar.

Even though he has a warm and loving home, this little rascal does everything he can to escape and make new friends all over town.

His owner has a hard time trying to “control” Caramelo—often without success.
