Dog Tries at All Costs to Stop Owner from Seeing the Mess She Made; Check Out What She Did
By Gabriele Tancredo Stella in Dogs
These pets are getting more and more cunning every day, and I can prove it! A mixed-breed dog named Anne Palhando (guys, she even has a last name), who lives in Rio Grande do Sul, got into mischief while her owner, Amanda, was distracted. To cover up what she did, she acted like a “clingy little thing”. What do I mean?
The pretty girl didn’t leave her owner’s side in order to prevent her from going to the scene of the “crime”.
However, unable to keep her where she was with her licks, she had to be more clever and then hid the feat in a hilarious way.

The moment Anne tried to disguise her mischief was filmed and shared on the TikTok profile @annepalhano04 on June 18 with her more than 92,000 followers.
“Why are you so close to Mommy?” asks Amanda. She then reported that, that morning, the dog was shaking and didn’t want her to leave, and afterwards became very attached to her.

Fearing that the dog was sensing something bad, she calmed her down by saying: “Nothing will happen to Mom.” Little did Amanda know that the scheme was different.
“That day, I took a while to go to the room. When I did, she ran ahead and seemed terrified. After all, she was going to be caught, right?” Amanda told Amo Meu Pet (our Brazilian website about pet news). “It’s a good thing I filmed it, because if I told anyone, no one would believe me.”
Unable to stop her owner from entering the room, Anne did everything possible and impossible to keep her from seeing the couch. How? By making it difficult for Amanda to get close to the furniture.
Although she couldn’t keep her away for long, when her owner approached the tear, Anne literally threw herself in front of it to hide it. You’ll only believe she did it if you see it!
That’s why, besides Anne, the dog is also called Monster, because according to Amanda, she has already destroyed four couches.
And it wasn’t just the couch that “exploded” that day, Amanda’s teddy bears were also attacked, but this was the work of the other dog, as he is bigger and the only one capable of reaching the toys.
Having a pet at home means living surrounded by emotions, right?
“Right after I stopped filming, all I could do was laugh, because there’s no way you could argue with someone like that, right?” she explained.
Mischievous or not, this beauty has a very special place in the heart of her owner, who declares:
“She is my whole life, she is very dear, affectionate and loving. There are no adjectives to describe her. She is the light of my life. It doesn’t even seem like she will turn 9 soon, an old lady doing mischief like that, can you believe it?”
About the impact of the video, Amanda says:
“It was really cool! I didn’t imagine it would reach this level, I was really happy, I believe it brightened the day of everyone who saw it. We are still ecstatic about all the attention it received.”
The post has garnered over 9.8 million views, one million reactions and thousands of funny comments.
“I’m screaming! What a smart and mischievous baby,” commented another, laughing.
“Man, she’s so smart,” declared another.
“I was shocked by her intelligence!” exclaimed a third.

Do Dogs Know When They’ve Been up to Mischief?
According to VCA Animal Hospital, dogs have the ability to recognize when something out of the ordinary has happened or when they have done something they shouldn’t.
Although they cannot fully understand the concept of right and wrong like humans, they can exhibit signs of guilt or avoidance when they realize they have done something wrong.
These signs may include avoiding eye contact, cowering, flattening the ears, wagging the tail shyly, or seeking affirmation and forgiveness from the owner.
However, it is important to remember that not all unwanted behaviors are motivated by guilt, and it is essential not to attribute complex human emotions to dogs.
